Biographical Information
Jerry Batts serves as Of Counsel in the Firm’s Athens office. Jerry is a native of Limestone County, Alabama. He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University, and his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. Jerry practiced law for more than 25 years in Athens, Alabama, and worked in a variety of areas during that time, including real estate, municipal law, education law, probate matters, and general civil litigation. In 2004, he was elected to serve as Limestone County District Judge, and he served in that capacity until he retired from the office in 2016. He currently serves as the city prosecutor for the City of Athens, and is a certified mediator.
