Biographical Information

Kape McRae is an associate in the Destin office. His practice is primarily focused in the areas of business law and civil litigation.

Kape earned his Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. During law school, Kape served on the Mississippi College Law Review and Moot Court Board. He won multiple awards for trial advocacy and legal writing during his time on the Moot Court Board. Aside from Law Review and Moot Court, Kape also served as a Teaching Assistant for Contracts and Business Associations; a Senator for his school’s LSBA; and a Dean’s Ambassador. Outside of school, Kape clerked for Justice Tommy Bryan of the Alabama Supreme Court.

Kape’s favorite classes in law school were in the areas of business and constitutional law. Kape was awarded the highest grade in Business Associations, Constitutional Law and Federal Taxation Law.

Prior to law school, Kape attended Mississippi College where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Kape was among the top ten percent of his business class while also playing football for the Mississippi College Choctaws.

Kape is originally from Clio, Alabama, where he grew up working for his family’s farm and construction company. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching the Florida Gators, a favorite team of Kape’s and his father.
