Congratulations to Roger Bates
Hand Arendall LLC is proud to announce Roger Bates has been elected Managing Lawyer of the firm for a second 3-year term commencing January 1, 2015.
Mr. Bates talked about his reelection as Managing Lawyer saying, “It is an honor and a great opportunity to continue to serve the firm in this capacity. We have accomplished many great things including the addition of five new attorneys in our Birmingham office, and two in our Mobile office in 2014. I look forward to continued growth for our firm in 2015 and beyond.”
Mr. Bates has been a member of the firm since 1996, when Tingle Watson & Bates joined Hand Arendall to establish the firm’s Birmingham office. Born in Clanton, Alabama, he was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1982. He then served as a law clerk to Senior U.S. District Judge C. W. Allgood until 1983. In 1979, Mr. Bates received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, and in 1982, he obtained his juris doctorate degree from Cumberland School of Law.
