Joe Basenberg Appointed to District Judgeship of Mobile County by Governor Bentley

MOBILE, AL June 20, 2013  Hand Arendall LLC is proud to announce former member Joe E. Basenberg has been appointed by Governor Robert Bentley to the District Judgeship for Mobile County to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Charles McKnight.

Mr. Basenberg was admitted to practice in the State of Alabama in 1976 and in the State of Mississippi in 1993. His work is focused on a broad range of General Civil Litigation and Admiralty, but has also included a broad range of transactional work. He has represented clients throughout the State of Alabama in product liability and mass tort cases. Since graduating from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1976, Mr. Basenberg has distinguished himself as a highly regarded and outstanding member of the legal profession.

Mr. Basenberg has spent his 36-year legal career serving our firm’s clients legal needs in the Mobile community and he has proven time and time again his personal commitment to the improvement and enhancement of Mobile, said Mr.Bates. Not only is Mr. Basenberg an accomplished trial attorney and a dedicated community leader, but he possesses the character, integrity, temperament and intellect required of anyone entrusted to preside over the important legal affairs of the people and businesses who must rely on our judicial system for resolution of important matters.
