Norman Stockman Elected President of the Propeller Club
MOBILE, AL July 22, 2013 Hand Arendall LLC is pleased to announce member Norman Stockman has been elected president of the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Mobile.
Formed in 1929, membership in the Propeller Club is open to people in the community who work in and around the maritime industry. The club is dedicated to the enhancement and well-being of all maritime community interests, both here and abroad. This is the place where our waterfront community gathers.
I am proud to serve as president of the Propeller Club, said Stockman. During my tenure, I plan to continue the work of my predecessors by promoting and fostering relationships among the local maritime community which is such an important part of the economy of Mobile, the state, and the region.
Stockman is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Admiralty Sections. He represents clients in business litigation, maritime transactions and litigation, banking and financial services litigation, professional liability litigation, and insurance coverage matters.
In addition to serving as president of the Propeller Club, Stockman also serves as Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Maritime Law Association of the United States. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 1996, and his juris doctorate in 1999 from University of Alabama School of Law, magna cum laude. Stockman is listed in Best Lawyers and has been selected to Alabama Rising Stars by Super Lawyers magazine in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He also was named to the Mobile Bay 40Under 40 Class of 2011 and is a member of Leadership Mobile’s Class of 2013.
