Sheekley Appointed to Serve on the Board for CareerSource Okaloosa Walton
Leslie Sheekley has been appointed by the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners to serve on the Board for CareerSource Okaloosa Walton — one of 24 local workforce development boards within the network of the state’s CareerSource Florida, working with Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.
“I’m excited to have been appointed to be part of the important work being done by CareerSource, particularly in these challenging times. Supporting workforce needs is critical for not only economic growth and development, as well as for the sustainability and success of our existing businesses,” states Sheekley.
The mission of CareerSource Okaloosa Walton is to ensure that every citizen has the opportunity and skills necessary to engage in meaningful employment throughout Okaloosa and Walton counties, and that every business has access to educated, and prepared employees who meet their needs.
Sheekley is a Member in the Destin office. Her primary areas of practice are commercial/business litigation, contract negotiation and community association law and litigation. She is Board Certified in Business Litigation by the Florida Bar, which is the highest level of recognition of an attorney’s competency and expertise in that area of law. She was also recognized this year as one of the Florida Legal Elite.
