Stephen Fitts and Katie Hammett Named Members of the Firm

Hand Arendall LLC is pleased to announce that Stephen N. Fitts, III and Katie L. Hammett have been named members of the firm.

Stephen Fitts has broad civil litigation experience in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. His practice focuses in the areas of commercial litigation, labor and employment law, and intellectual property law. Mr. Fitts has handled numerous cases from inception to conclusion and has often obtained dismissal or a favorable settlement for the client. He has also assisted business owners in protecting intellectual property rights, licensing, and contractual negotiations.

Katie Hammett’s litigation practice is wide and varied, including toxic tort litigation; transportation and other trucking litigation; medical malpractice; premises liability; banking practices and conduct litigation; and commercial litigation; OSHA disputes; and elections law. While at Hand Arendall, Ms. Hammett has tried several jury and non-jury cases and obtained a number of dismissals for clients. Ms. Hammett has successfully counseled clients to resolution of cases throughout both Alabama and Mississippi.
